Privacy policy
This privacy policy informs you how Pokka Reindeer Meat (“we”, “us”) processes personal data under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”, known as RGPD in Spain and other jurisdictions) and applicable Finnish national law supplementing the GDPR.
Data controller

For requests regarding personal data processing, contact us using the telephone numbers in the site footer or write to the postal address above. We do not currently designate a Data Protection Officer (DPO) where not mandatory under Articles 37–39 GDPR.
Personal data we process
- Identity & contact data — name, company, professional role, postal address, telephone, email when you correspond about products or distribution.
- Communication content — messages you send us.
- Newsletter / marketing — email address and consent record when you subscribe; unsubscribe data when you opt out.
- Technical & usage data — IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, device category, referrer URL, timestamps from server logs or, with consent, analytics tools.
- Consent records — cookie preferences stored in your browser (see below).

Recipients and processors
We use trusted service providers (e.g. website hosting, email delivery if you subscribe) who process data on our instructions under Article 28 GDPR (processors). We do not sell personal data. Any future analytics or advertising partner will be listed here and activated only after consent where required.
Transfers outside the EEA
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on adequacy decisions and/or appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses under Article 46 GDPR. Typography on this site is served from our own hosting bundle — not from Google Fonts — to reduce unnecessary transfers.
Retention
- Commercial correspondence — typically up to 10 years where tied to contractual or tax obligations; otherwise deleted when no longer needed.
- Marketing consent — until you withdraw consent or we stop the service.
- Server logs — rotated according to hosting policy (often weeks to months).
Your rights (Articles 15–22 GDPR)
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is consent-based, you may withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. We aim to respond within one month (Article 12(3)), extendable where complex.
Complaint to a supervisory authority
You may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. In Finland: Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman — tietosuoja.fi.
Automated decisions & children
We do not use automated decision-making including profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR on this site. Our offers are aimed at businesses and adults; we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 for online services without parental consent where such consent is required.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device; similar technologies include local storage. Under the ePrivacy Directive as implemented nationally, certain storage that is strictly necessary for a service explicitly requested by the user does not require prior consent; optional analytics or marketing technologies require consent before non-essential cookies are set or read (where applicable).
